Our Story

Strategic Career Coaching was established in 2010 to address an increasing concern – the inadequate provision of career development education/resources within formal curriculums (worldwide) and the negative consequences of this, on personal career decision-making, effective resource use and personal job satisfaction in the workforce.

The knowledge gap is growing as every student/worker is challenged by a dynamic, fast-paced, technologically advanced, economically influenced labour market. As this market demands the re-shaping of workforces, regular job/career change is frequent and has become the new norm.

Strategic Career Coaching is uniquely positioned to offer practitioners who have worked in industry, have personally experienced the challenges that clients face and know what it takes to succeed at job/career change! They now share their qualifications, experience and expertise with passion to coach clients towards successful change.

Diana Lim

Founder & Senior Career Coach

Passionate about career development, job/career transition and work fulfilment, Diana brings over a decade of professional and personal experience to help clients on their career journey.  Founder of Strategic Career Coaching (2010), she partners with you to navigate all stages of the career decision-making model, from increasing self-awareness, e.g. personality type, career interests and work values, to exploring and evaluating career choices that will produce a decision.  Diana can also provide practical assistance with your job search campaign, resume writing, interview training and LinkedIn coaching.

Diana has personally career transitioned many times, beginning her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as an Experienced Senior Auditor (Financial/Internal/IT) before changing careers to Management Consulting in Information Technology.  Starting out as Help Desk Support, she progressed quickly to Senior Lead Consultant, responsible for the professional development, progression, and success of all IT Consultants in her organisation.  Motherhood led to a major shift in work values and inspired yet another career transition from IT Consulting to Career Consulting.  The nature of Diana’s professional experience has provided exposure to and understanding of multiple industries, e.g. Accounting, Banking, Telecommunications, Energy and Mining, Manufacturing, Government, Information Technology, Management Consulting, Education, Healthcare and Digital Real Estate (to name a few).

Diana holds the Graduate Certificate in Career Education and Development (AUS RMIT), Bachelor Degree in Commerce & Administration (NZ BCA), Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (NZ BSc), Diploma in Life Coaching (AUS LCIA) and the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.  

She is a Chartered Accountant (CA, CAANZ) and a Professional Member of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA).

The Coaching Agreement

The Coaching Agreement provides transparency and understanding of the terms & conditions behind coaching engagements. This document provides legal protection for you and the Coach.
